Modern Pop was born out of a simple need. As a sleep deprived mom with a relentless teething one-year old, I was desperate for a simple ingredient frozen fruit bar to help soothe my son’s pain, and my sanity. I was shocked by what I found on grocery store shelves. Options skimped on fruit, were caked in sugar, preservatives, and ingredients I couldn’t pronounce. The old classic had room for improvement. So, I started making them at home. I used local farmer’s market fresh fruit (and lots of it) fresh lemon juice and drops of agave. We’ve come a long way since then, and my kitchen, freezer and my husband are thanking me for graduating from the “DYI” stage.
